North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham dominate Premier League Team of the Week

Here we run through the best rated Premier League XI from the Boxing Day fixtures, with North London pair Arsenal and Tottenham dominating the team.

Goalkeeper: David de Gea (Man Utd) - 7.79 rating

Manchester United had David de Gea to thank for a share of the points against Newcastle on Monday evening. The Spaniard was forced into seven saves, many of them high class, to keep United in the game as they eventually snatched a 1-1 draw with a late Edinson Cavani goal.

Right-back: Emerson Royal (Tottenham) - 8.65 rating

After a tough start to life at Tottenham, Emerson Royal is growing into the role under Antonio Conte and on Boxing Day registered his first Premier League assist of the season in a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace. Emerson completed 91.1% of his attempted passes and weighed in with six tackles to help Tottenham keep a clean sheet.

Centre-back: Jan Bednarek (Southampton) - 8.44 rating

Jan Bednarek was pivotal in both boxes as Southampton ended a six-game winless streak to beat high flyers West Ham 3-2 away from home on Boxing Day. Bednarek made a vital clearance off the line to keep Southampton 1-0 ahead in the first half before scoring the winner in the second half. In the right place time after time, Bednarek made nine clearances to help Southampton cling on to three points.

Centre-back: Rob Holding (Arsenal) - 7.68 rating

Arsenal were forced to tinker in defence against Norwich and Rob Holding made the most of a rare appearance to make our team of the week. Arsenal battered Norwich 5-0 on Boxing Day but Holding was forced into making a crucial last man tackle to ensure a clean sheet for the defenders.

Left-back: Sergio Reguilon (Tottenham) - 8.52 rating

Sergio Reguilon joins his Tottenham team-mate Emerson in defence after an impressive performance at both ends against Crystal Palace. The Spaniard weighed in with seven tackles and interceptions combined, while also registering four key passes and completing two dribbles.

Right wing: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - 9.00 rating

Bukayo Saka picked up his first ever Premier League brace as Arsenal demolished Norwich 5-0 to make it four goal involvements across his last four outings. The 20-year-old scored twice from three attempts, while also creating two goalscoring chances.

Central midfield: Lucas Moura (Tottenham) - 8.88 rating

Lucas Moura continues to flourish under Antonio Conte. The Brazilian played a direct hand in all three goals Tottenham scored against Palace, helping himself to a goal and a pair of assists. Moura created three goalscoring chances in total and completed two dribbles.

Central midfield: Son Heung-Min (Tottenham) - 8.34 rating

Joining Lucas Moura in a very offensively-minded midfield pairing is his Tottenham team-mate Son Heung-Min. The 29-year-old scored for the fourth game running in Tottenham's straightforward 3-0 win over Palace. He impressively completed 93.3% of his attempted passes in the win, a personal best return in a Premier League game this season. He also weighed in with three tackles and interceptions combined.

Left wing: Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) - 9.32 rating

Raheem Sterling claims our Premier League Player of the Week award after his display in Manchester City's rollercoaster 6-3 victory over Leicester. Sterling scored a brace in the win, completed five dribbles and completed 90.5% of his attempted passes.

Striker: Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester) - 8.51 rating

Kelechi Iheanacho sparked an unlikely comeback against old club Manchester City on Boxing Day, playing a direct hand in all three goals as Leicester fought back from 4-0 down to 4-3. They ultimately went on to lose the game 6-3 but Iheanacho at least reminded Brendan Rodgers what he is capable of after curiously being pushed to the fringes this season.

Striker: Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) - 8.41 rating

Alexandre Lacazette has been directly involved in at least one goal in each of his last four Premier League matches. Lacazette scored and assisted against Norwich, doing so in a Premier League fixture for the first time since January (vs Southampton).
