Football INDEX: Arsenal targets increasing in value as Emirates moves beckon

Every day, Football INDEX highlights the five biggest market movers over a 24-hour period, which can be located on the website’s home page.

1. JOSH TYMON (STOKE)

There has been big movement on Josh Tymon in the last 24 hours after the teenager started in Stoke’s 3-0 defeat away to Manchester United on Monday evening.

Despite being hauled off at half time, Tymon’s share price has rocketed 34.60% in the last 24 hours and he is now trading at £0.45 a share on Football INDEX.

It’s a peculiar increase for someone that has endured a difficult season when given the chance to play.

Monday marked the 18-year-old’s third Premier League appearance of the season and in those matches Stoke have lost all three at an aggregate scoreline of 11-0.

Stoke might benefit from the new manager bounce of Paul Lambert, but it’s certainly not a player you should look to invest your money in.

2. ANDREW ROBERTSON (LIVERPOOL)

One of the most notable aspects of Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Manchester City on Sunday was the impressive display from Andrew Robertson at left-back. The Scotland international went viral on social media for his incredible pressing, which started from his own position at left-back and ended by City’s left-back on the opposite side of the pitch.

Robertson has been forced to be patient for his first-team opportunities this season, but finally looks to have established himself as Jurgen Klopp’s first choice ahead of Alberto Moreno, who nears a return from injury.

With that in mind, coupled with the fact Liverpool are unbeaten in the league this season with Robertson in their starting XI, it’s worth jumping on the bandwagon and investing in the 23-year-old.

His Football INDEX share price has jumped 14.94% in the last 24 hours of trading and currently sits at £0.86 a share.

3. ALEXANDER ISAK (BORUSSIA DORTMUND)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s expected departure from Borussia Dortmund this month has opened up the door for 18-year-old Swedish sensation Alexander Isak to make his mark.

The teenage striker was handed his full Bundesliga debut at the weekend after Aubameyang was axed from the squad and was denied his first Bundesliga goal by the woodwork.

There is no imminent resolution in sight regarding Aubameyang’s future, but it does seem like the Gabon international has played his last game for the club, which could result in further playing time for Isak.

His Football INDEX share price has increased 13.94% in the last 24 hours to £0.89 and it’s worth gambling on when you consider the few other options Peter Stoger has at his disposal until a replacement for Aubameyang is signed.

4. HENRIKH MKHITARYAN (MANCHESTER UNITED)

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was left out of Manchester United’s squad for their 3-0 win over Stoke on Monday night and Jose Mourinho later revealed it was down to the fact he is involved in a potential swap deal for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

The Armenia international is still deciding whether he wants to leave United to join Arsenal, but it would be a huge shock if he pulled the plug on a deal and in doing so ruined United’s chances of signing Sanchez.

His Football INDEX share price has rocketed 13.91% in the last 24 hours and is certainly worth investing in. It would be a gamble worth taking as his style of play would certainly be a hit with the way Arsene Wenger likes to play.

5. PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG (BORUSSIA DORTMUND)

It has emerged in the last hour that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has agreed personal terms with Arsenal as a move away from Borussia Dortmund gathers pace.

The Gabon international is determined to leave the Bundesliga giants this month and will get his wish if Arsenal can agree a deal with their German counterparts.

As speculation continues to intensify, Aubameyang’s share price will only continue to increase. Investing in the 28-year-old would cost you £3.21 a share at the moment following a 12.3% increase in his share price.

Aubameyang also stands a good chance of winning dividends as a media buzz winner, which only makes his investment more appealing at this stage of the January transfer window.
