Chelsea target Reguilon shines in Europa League Team of the Week

It was a comfortable evening for Sevilla as they eased into the next round of the Europa League at Roma's expense. Ever Banega earned the WhoScored man of the match award from the 2-0 victory, but all eyes were on Sergio Reguilon. The Spanish left-back has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea of late and Blues fans will have been excited at what they saw of the Spaniard on Thursday night.

Indeed, the 23-year-old scored his first Europa League goal of the season and that contributed towards his inclusion in the Europa League team of the week with a WhoScored rating of 8.79. Reguilon got forward well where required, completing four dribbles and making two key passes, while three clearances, three interceptions and two tackles helped Sevilla to a clean sheet to set up a quarter-final meeting with Wolves.

Sevilla ultimately have three representatives in the team of the week with Jules Kounde joining Banega and Reguilon in the best XI. Bayer Leverkusen youngster Edmond Tapsoba forms a youthful centre-back partnership in a backline completed by FC Basel's Silvan Widmer and operating in front of Wolves' Rui Patricio as the Portuguese shotstopper kept a clean sheet in their narrow win over Olympiacos.

Juan Mata gave a timely reminder of his talent in Manchester United's 2-1 win over LASK as the experienced Spaniard provided assists for Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial. Alan Patrick partners Banega in the middle of the park after completing six dribbles and making four key passes in Shakhtar's 3-0 win over Wolfsburg. Junior Moraes netted twice in that victory to land the WhoScored man of the match gong to join Patrick in the team.

Copenhagen pair Jonas Wind (8.97) and Rasmus Falk Jensen (9.17) complete the Europa League team of the week as the Danish side breezed past Istanbul Basaksehir to book their quarter-final spot, where they'll face Manchester United.
