Indeed, while Benzema has four goals to his name in eight Champions League appearances, he has failed to score away from the Bernabeu in five European matches this campaign. 

Need further convincing on the decision to sell shares in Benzema? It’s worth taking into account the 28-year-old has scored just three goals in 22 competitive meetings with Atletico Madrid and has failed to hit the back of the net on the two occasions he has faced them in the Champions League.
