Champions League round-up: The star men from Tuesday's action

Monaco 0-4 Club Bruges - Hans Vanaken - 8.66 rating

Club Bruges heaped more misery on Thierry Henry as the Belgian outfit inflicted Monaco’s heaviest ever Champions League defeat on home soil. Hans Vanaken tucked home two of the goals to finish as the WhoScored man of the match. The 26-year-old found the back of the net with both shots on target and completed four tackles and interceptions combined for the away side.

FK Crvena Zvezda 2-0 Liverpool - Milan Pavkov - 8.84 rating

Liverpool slipped to a shock 2-0 defeat in Serbia but deserved everything they got after turning in one of the worst performances of Jurgen Klopp’s tenure. Milan Pavkov’s two first half strikes, including a wonderful long range effort, were enough to seal a historic victory for the home side. The 24-year-old also won five aerial duels and weighed in with four tackles and interceptions combined to help his side keep an unlikely clean sheet.

Napoli 1-1 Paris Saint-Germain - Neymar - 7.63 rating

Neymar was not at his decisive best against Napoli but still created four goalscoring opportunities, completed seven dribbles and drew six fouls. The 26-year-old tasted David Opsina with a fine header but is now without a goal in both games against the Serie A outfit.

Atletico Madrid 2-0 Borussia Dortmund - Filipe Luis  - 8.58 rating

Despite turning 33 at the start of the season, Filipe Luis continues to perform superbly for Atletico Madrid. The Brazil international set up Saul Niguez for Atletico Madrid’s opener and was solid at the back, making nine tackles and interceptions combined. The veteran left-back also forced Roman Burki into action with his only shot of the game, while completing one dribble.

Inter 1-1 Barcelona - Philippe Coutinho - 8.47 rating

Philippe Coutinho appeared to have helped Barcelona to all three points against his former club after assisting Malcom for an 83rd-minute opener, only for Mauro Icardi to peg the away side back minutes later. Coutinho hit the target with three of his eight shots and created one more goalscoring opportunity for a team-mate. Not only that, but the 26-year-old completed eight dribbles and won four fouls.

Schalke 2-0 Galatasaray - Mark Uth - 7.95 rating
