Liverpool want Turkish star, Everton rebuff Man Utd: Friday's top transfer rumours

Liverpool have identified their long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah while Manchester United are prepared to end talks over a move for a new centre-back. Here we run through today's top transfer rumours.

Liverpool pursuing Real Madrid teen

Liverpool are pursuing Real Madrid teenager Arda Guler as they look to sign a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, reports TEAMtalk.

The 19-year-old only joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce last summer, though injuries disrupted his impact in Spain.

However, Guler ended the campaign with six league goals to his name and scored Turkiye's second in their 3-1 win over Georgia at Euro 2024 earlier this week.

While some at Real Madrid will look to retain Guler's services, the impending arrivals for Kylian Mbappe and Endrick means Real Madrid may look to cash in on the Turkish star.

Man Utd prepared to walk away from Branthwaite negotiations

Manchester United are prepared to walk away from negotiations with Everton for centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, reports ESPN.

Branthwaite is United's top centre-back target this summer and are believed to have agreed personal terms over a switch.

Everton, though, aren't budging on their £70m asking price for the 21-year-old, and United could end their interest in the youngster as a result.

Teenage centre-back favours Real Madrid switch

Lille centre-back Leny Yoro favours a summer move to Real Madrid over Premier League pair Liverpool and Manchester United, reports Spanish publication Marca.

Yoro is a defender in demand after a superb season for Lille and with just 12 months left to run on his current deal, the Ligue 1 side are open to selling the Frenchman.

However, the 18-year-old would prefer a move to Real Madrid over the English duo.

Villa make enquiry over Juventus winger

Aston Villa have enquired about the availability of Juventus winger Matias Soule, reports Sky Sports.

The Argentine impressed on loan with Serie A rivals Frosinone last season and there were reports that Juventus could entertain the idea of a summer departure.

Soule, though, is not for sale according to the Old Lady with newly-appointed boss Thiago Motta unlikely to sanction the 21-year-old's exit without first running the rule over the winger.

Man Utd prepared to trigger release clause for striker

Manchester United are prepared to trigger the release clause for Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, reports the Telegraph.

United are looking to bring in a new striker this summer and have been linked with a move for the Dutch forward, Brentford's Ivan Toney and Lille frontman Jonathan David.

And United are set to make their move for Zirkzee, who has a £33.8m release clause in his contract.

Arsenal make move for Fenerbahce star

Arsenal have lodged a bid for Fenerbahce and Turkiye full-back Ferdi Kadioglu, according to Turkish publication Ajan Spor.

Able to play at both right and left-back, the Gunners have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old in recent months.

Kadioglu was solid in Turkiye's 3-1 win over Georgia earlier this week with Arsenal keen on securing his services this summer.

West Ham braced for Kudus exit demand

West Ham are worried that star player Mohammed Kudus will ask to leave the club this summer, reports Football Insider.

The Hammers are expected to make at least one big money sale this summer with Kudus attracting interest from Premier League sides and Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad.

The 23-year-old completed more dribbles (124) than any other player in Europe's top five leagues last season and the Hammers will be eager to retain his services.
