Perfect Palmer leads Chelsea trio in Premier League Team of the Week

After a weekend of twists and turns in the Premier League, we’ve taken a look back at the best performers from the action of gameweek 33. Represented in our Team of the Week are West Ham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham) - 8.02

Despite a home defeat to Fulham at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon, West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski earns a place in our Team of the Week having made a total of eight saves against the Whites. The 38-year-old Polish stopper, who made just his sixth start in the Premier League this season at the weekend, earned a WhoScored rating of 8.02 for his efforts between the sticks.

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace) - 7.42

Crystal Palace pulled off perhaps the shock of the weekend as they claimed all three points against Liverpool at Anfield. A huge part of that defensive effort was January arrival Daniel Munoz, who made three tackles, two blocks, three clearances and five ball recoveries for a WhoScored rating of 7.42

Fabian Schar (Newcastle) - 9.01

Newcastle centre-back Fabian Schar netted his fourth league goal of the season as the Magpies cruised past a poor Tottenham side at St James’ Park on Saturday. The Switzerland international, who headed home the hosts’ fourth goal of the afternoon three minutes from time, also made two tackles, four interceptions, five clearances, two blocks and one key pass, in what was his second highest rated performance of the season so far.

Jefferson Lerma (Crystal Palace) - 8.03

Crucial to the Eagles leaving with a valuable victory at Anfield on Sunday was Jefferson Lerma who, traditionally deployed as a midfielder, turned in a fine performance at centre-back. The Colombian made two tackles, four interceptions, eight clearances and one successful dribble to land a WhoScored rating of 8.03 on Merseyside.

Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace) - 8.13

Tyrick Mitchell joins his Crystal Palace teammates in the XI having provided the assist for Eberechi Eze’s goal at Anfield on Sunday. The 24-year-old also completed two dribbles, won six ground duels and all three of the aerial duels he contested.

Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) - 10.0

Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon became the sixth player to register a perfect WhoScored 10 rating in the Premier League this season after his performance against Tottenham on Saturday. The England international set up teammate Alexander Isak for the Magpies’ first goal of the afternoon, before doubling their lead just two minutes later. Gordon would then go on to provide the assist for Fabian Schar’s 87th-minute header, while he also made two successful dribbles and a whopping eight key passes.

Conor Gallagher joins his club and national teammate in our best XI, having made two key passes, four successful dribbles, two interceptions and 10 ball recoveries on his way to a WhoScored rating of 8.64.

Jeremy Doku (Manchester City) - 9.41

Manchester City attacker Jeremy Doku netted his third Premier League goal of the season against Luton on Saturday as the Belgian danced past two defenders, before slotting the ball home into the bottom-right corner. Doku - whose goal was assisted by Josko Gvardiol - then went on to return the favour for his Croatian teammate five minutes later, while he also made three key passes and six successful dribbles to register a WhoScored rating of 9.41.

Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) - 9.42

Alexander Isak (Newcastle) - 8.83

The Sweden international opened the scoring for the hosts after sitting down Spurs defender Micky van de Ven, before adding his second of the afternoon just six minutes into the second half.
