Tottenham target Isco is set to pen a new deal with La Liga giants Real Madrid, according to Spanish publication Marca.
The Spain international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in recent months, with a return to Malaga also mooted.
Spurs were hoping to lure Isco to north London last summer on loan, yet were rebuffed in their efforts to bring the Spaniard to England.
However, any hopes of securing his services at the end of the season look set to be dashed with the player all but set to put pen to paper Real Madrid.
His rumoured new deal will tie him down to the club until 2022 and double Isco’s salary to €6m per season.
The deal has been on the table since Christmas, yet a lack of regular game time suggested that Isco would reject a new contract and instead look to gain first team action elsewhere.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Juventus were also interested in signing Isco, but his new deal should put any rumours of a move away from Spain to rest.
