Tottenham are plotting a summer move for rising Bournemouth star David Brooks and are even contemplating a £50m bid, claims The Daily Mirror.
Bournemouth only signed Brooks from Sheffield United last summer in a deal worth £11.5m but the former Manchester United trainee has been a revelation for the Cherries this season.
Brooks immediately usurped Jordon Ibe and Junior Stanislas in the pecking order and is a mainstay in Eddie Howe’s starting XI.
The 21-year-old has made the leap to the Premier League with consummate ease and now Tottenham are circling for his signature.
Mauricio Pochettino has not made a signing in over 12 months but there will be money to spend at the end of the season and Brooks ranks high among his list of transfer targets.
Brooks has started all but four of Bournemouth’s Premier League matches this season and has impressively returned six goals and four assists.
In fact, only Marcus Rashford (14) and Richarlison (11) have played a direct hand in more goals of players aged 21 and under in the Premier League this season.
