Premier League boss may think twice Crystal Palace job

Sean Dyche is keen to succeed Sam Allardyce as Crystal Palace manager but may think twice about leaving Burnley if he is not given assurances about money for transfer, reports The Daily Mirror.

Palace have been looking for a new manager since Allardyce announced his shock retirement at the end of last season and the Eagles have been linked with a successors including Dyche and jobless duo Frank de Boer and Mauricio Pellegrino.

Dyche is in the frame for the Palace job after his outstanding work at cash-strapped Burnley over the last five years and now the 45-year-old is ready to make the next step in his career.

However, Palace have spent in excess of £70m in the last two transfer windows and there are reports that the club’s American owners, Josh Harris and David Blitzer, aren’t interested in making heavy spending a regular occurrence at the club.

Part of the reason the Eagles are interested in Dyche is that he can deliver performances without investing hugely into new players and his work at Burnley may even work against him here.

Last season Burnley finished with the ninth best home record in the Premier League (33 points), while only Manchester United won one point more on home soil.
