Leicester flop heads to Germany

Leicester striker Andrej Kramaric has joined Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim on loan until the end of the season, the Foxes have confirmed.

Kramaric, 24, supposedly rejected the chance to join Chelsea when he moved to Leicester for a club-record fee at the start of last year.

However, his spell in the Premier League hasn’t gone to plan since making the £9m switch and he will now spend the rest of the season at Bundesliga strugglers Hoffenheim.

“Andrej has the European Championships to think about this summer, so it’s important for him that he has the opportunity to play,” Ranieri told Leicester’s official website.

“He is a fantastic player and a great professional but, in this moment, we have other strikers that are playing well. I spoke with him to understand what he wants to do and a loan is a solution that works for everybody. We will watch him closely at Hoffenheim.”

Kramaric has only played in 22 minutes of Premier League action this season over two substitute appearances.
