Man Utd open to Mason Mount sale

Manchester United are prepared to cash in on Mason Mount this summer following a disappointing debut season at Old Trafford, reports HITC.

Mount moved to United last year for £55m, a fee that could rise to £60m, but injuries impacted his debut campaign in Manchester.

The 25-year-old started just six league games for Erik ten Hag's side last season, scoring once as United won the FA Cup.

Yet United are open to selling Mount this summer as they look to raise funds to invest elsewhere following the arrivals of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro from Bologna and Lille, respectively.

Mount has Premier League admirers, with Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle believed to be monitoring the England international's situation.

The former Chelsea man isn't the only player whose future at Old Trafford is up in the air, with Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Antony and Casemiro among those United are prepared to entertain offers for.

Only Sofyan Amrabat (6.24) earned a lower WhoScored rating than Mount (6.32) of United players to register at least 200 minutes of Premier League action last season.
