Our Premier League form rankings are based on a six-game spread, weighted chronologically with the most recent outing carrying greater significance.

 

Moreover, in order to qualify in the first place they must have played two of the last three and six of the last eight matches available. Let's dive right in, starting in reverse order...

 

10) Che Adams (Southampton) - 7.47 form rating / £2.00 Footstock price

 

It's far to say Che Adams' maiden campaign didn't get off to the best of starts but he did at least finish 2019/20 with a flurry and has carried that on into the new campaign. Adams has played a direct hand in five goals in his last six appearances for Southampton (3 goals, 2 assists) and there will be even more pressure on his shoulders with strike partner Danny Ings now injured.

9) Timo Werner (Chelsea) - 7.49 form rating / £62.47 Footstock price

 

Timo Werner is another new face in the top-10 standings. The Chelsea striker has really found his feet of late after a slow start to life in England. Werner has netted in back-to-back league matches and has four goals and one assist across his last six. With Frank Lampard's side clicking into gear in recent weeks, you should certainly have a couple of Chelsea players in your squad.

8) Sadio Mane (Liverpool) - 7.60 form rating / £39.00 Footstock price

 

Liverpool's Sadio Mane drops two places in the standings from last week after failing to find the back of the net in their 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Sunday. In fact, Mane has now failed to score in three straight league matches. He has still played a direct hand in five goals across his last six but another goalless display in Liverpool's next match would leave him in serious danger of dropping out of the top-10 completely.

7) James Rodriguez (Everton) - 7.62 form rating / £36.59 Footstock price

 

James Rodriguez has dropped four places in the top-10 after a relatively anonymous showing in Everton's 3-1 defeat at home to Manchester United on Saturday. Rodriguez now has no goals or assists in his last two appearances and his bright start to the campaign has started to fade. The 29-year-old does still have six goals and assists in his last six but, like Mane, is in danger of losing a top-10 berth with more absent displays.

6) Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) - 7.81 form rating / £154.00 Footstock price

 

While James Rodriguez went missing, Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes certainly showed up at Goodison Park. Fernandes played a direct hand in all three of United's goals, scoring twice and providing one assist. It broke a run of two games without a goal involvement for the United star, who now has eight goals and assists in his last six matches in the Premier League.

5) Danny Ings (Southampton) - 7.83 form rating / £13.99 Footstock price

 

Danny Ings is a non-mover in our top-10 after missing Southampton's win over Newcastle on Friday through injury. Once the next gameweek is done and dusted, howevoer, Ings will no longer qualify for our form rankings as he would not have played in two of Southampton's last three in the Premier League. For now he has and across his last six Premier League appearances he has played a direct hand in seven goals (five goals, two assists).

 

4) James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) - 7.84 form rating / £6.00 Footstock price

 

Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse climbs three places in our form rankings into fourth after another key showing for the Saints last time out. The England midfielder has played a direct hand in four goals in his last six appearances, with all of those direct goal contributions falling in his last three. As the most recent ratings carry a greater weighting towards player form, he currently occupies a spot in the top 5. He will need to continue that form to stay there, however.

3) Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) - 8.04 form rating / £24.79 Footstock price

 

Ollie Watkins has shot up from eighth place to third in the latest edition of our Premier League player form rankings after another terrific showing in Aston Villa's shock 3-0 win away to Arsenal on Sunday. Watkins scored twice, to follow up from his goal against Southampton last weekend, to make it six goals across his last six Premier League appearances. Villa were criticised for over-spending on Watkins but he is certainly proving his worth.

2) Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) -  8.25 form rating / £9.99 Footstock price

 

Sticking with Aston Villa and Jack Grealish is the second most in-form player in the Premier League for the second week running. Grealish against showed his immense talent in Villa's triumph over Arsenal, doing all the work and providing the assist for their third of the game. Grealish impressively has nine goals and assists across Villa's last six Premier League matches.

1) Harry Kane (Tottenham) - 8.40 form rating / £51.00 Footstock price

 

No one has been able to knock Harry Kane from his perch since the WhoScored Premier League Form Rankings returned. For the third week in a row the Tottenham striker remains the most in-form player in the division. Kane was once again on the scoresheet at the weekend, scoring the winning goal in Tottenham's sluggish win over West Brom. Kane has shown remarkable consistency this season, scoring or assisting in each of Tottenham's last six league matches and playing a direct hand in 10 goals in that time (six goals, four assists).
