Real Sociedad were one of three teams, along with Girona and Sevilla, to go through November unbeaten in La Liga. The Basque giants have begun to steady the ship following a rocky patch of form and now sit 11th after winning two and drawing one of three matches last month. 

 

It coincided with Adnan Januzaj’s return to the first team with the Belgian securing a WhoScored rating of 8.01 in November, that enough to land the player of the month award. The winger chipped in with two assists last month, those coming from six key passes, and completed more dribbles (17) than any other player in Spain’s top tier. He’s partnered in the middle of the park by Giovani Lo Celso (7.91) with the Real Betis midfielder scoring two and assisting one in November.

Real Betis teammate Junior Firpo (7.68) also features in the team as he scored two and assisted one in November, with two of the three goals he had a direct hand in coming in the 4-3 win over Barcelona. Brais Mendez (7.63) rounds off the midfield, with the young Spaniard having a direct hand in a goal in all three league outings in November, scoring two and assisting two. 

 

Lionel Messi (8.80) made a significant return to action following injury as he landed the WhoScored man of the match award in his two league outings as he scored two and assisted one. While his rating was higher than Januzaj, that Messi made only two appearances means it’s the Real Sociedad ace who landed the player of the month award. Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze (7.69) joins Messi in attack as he scored two from three league appearances in November. 

 

Januzaj’s Real Sociedad teammate Theo Hernandez (7.51) features at left-back having netted in a man of the match display in a 3-1 win over Levante in November, that a standout display last month. Eibar right-back Ruben Pena (7.48) features on the opposite side of the defence in a solid November that saw Eibar pick up seven of nine available points and included a 3-0 win over Real Madrid. 

 

Sergio Ramos (7.52) may have played in that defeat, but he did enough in wins over Real Valladolid and Celta Vigo to earn a rating high enough to make the best XI in La Liga as he scored two and assisted one in November. Bernardo Espinosa (7.63) joins Ramos in defence after an impressive month for Girona, where he made 29 clearances, six interceptions and two tackles.

Yassine Bounou, more commonly known as Bono (7.68), completes the La Liga team of the month as Girona conceded just one goal in November. Bono was named the WhoScored man of the match in the hard-fought 1-0 win at Valencia, that a stand out display, while no goalkeeper made more saves than the Moroccan (20) in La Liga last month.
