WhoScored Expert: Who we're picking in our Yahoo! Fantasy Football team

The two Friday night fixtures would have already played out by the time Yahoo! Fantasy Football gets underway and Chelsea are expected to be crowned Premier League champions before then, but there is still money to be won and plenty of points available in the remaining fixtures.

Before running through our XI this weekend, which also includes Monday’s match between Chelsea and Watford, make sure you enter the WS50 promo code when you deposit at least £5 and you will be rewarded with a £50 bonus that can be used to enter any cash games. There is some serious money to be made on Yahoo! Fantasy Football – don’t miss out!

Goalkeeper – JORDAN PICKFORD

Sunderland are already relegated, but you can’t fault Jordan Pickford’s performances this season. The 23-year-old is the highest rated goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues this season (7.13) and is expected to go on to bigger and better things next season.

He must first concentrate on their match against Swansea this weekend and he can expect to be Sunderland’s most involved player once again. However, that shouldn’t put you off picking Pickford. Only Tom Heaton (135) has made more saves than Pickford (120) in the league this season and that should translate to big points this weekend.

Defender – GARY CAHILL

Chelsea will be looking to celebrate their title triumph with a big win in front of their home fans on Monday night. Antonio Conte’s side host a Watford side that have failed to score in each of their last five away league matches. Not only should Cahill get a clean sheet bonus, but he is also a threat in attack. The 31-year-old, who is a top-20 form player on Yahoo! Fantasy Football, has scored six goals in the league this season and two have come in his last three matches.

Defender – VINCENT KOMPANY

Vincent Kompany is set to start his sixth game in a row when Manchester City host Leicester on Saturday and the Belgian defender has been in immense form during that time. Kompany was on the scoresheet in their last match, but has importantly installed leadership and organisation to what was previously a very vulnerable City defence. Only two teams have won fewer points on the road in the Premier League this season than Leicester (10) and their away day woes should continue at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Defender – BEN GIBSON

Like Pickford, it’s hard to fault Ben Gibson’s performances in Middlesbrough’s relegation back down to the Championship. Boro will be looking to turn in a big performance in front of their own supporters in their first game since being relegated and they have the perfect opponents to do so against in Southampton. Claude Puel’s men haven’t scored in their last three and a clean sheet should be in the offing for the home side on Saturday.

Utility – BEN DAVIES

Ben Davies is expected to keep his place at left-back with Danny Rose still on the comeback trail and he is definitely a player you should invest in. Manchester United are concentrating on the Europa League this season and haven’t even scored a goal away to any of the top six teams this season!

Midfielder – YAYA TOURE

It’s incredible to think Yaya Toure is now a first-team regular for a Pep Guardiola side. However, the experienced midfielder provides City with control and he is doing so with aplomb. Against a Leicester side with nothing to play for, he should rack up points for passes and is also a threat in front of goal. He averages more passes per league game than any other teammate this season (70.3).

WhoScored Expert: Who we're picking in our Yahoo! Fantasy Football team

Midfielder – WILFRED NDIDI

Toure’s opposite number on Saturday will be Wilfred Ndidi and the Leicester midfielder is expected to secure a big money move in the summer after making a real impact at the King Power Stadium since joining from Genk in January. Ndidi has proven to be an all-action midfielder, averaging 4.1 tackles and 2.1 interceptions per game, but he has also shown an eye for goal. However, the Foxes will be on the back foot this weekend and all of Ndidi’s points will come from his defensive work.

Midfielder - LEROY SANE

Fresh from their 5-0 thrashing against Crystal Palace, City will be keen to go to work against Leicester this weekend. It’s worth investing in their attack as much as you can, particularly given Leicester now have nothing left to play for and have been poor on the road this season. Sane’s pace should cause them real problems on Saturday with a view to adding to his five league goals this season.

Midfielder  - KEVIN DE BRUYNE

De Bruyne has been named the WhoScored Man of the Match in four of his last five matches for City and is really sparkling at the right time for an underfire Guardiola. The Belgium international played a direct hand in three of the five goals they scored against Palace last time out and will be City’s main creator this weekend as well. Only Emil Forsberg (16) has more assists in Europe’s top five leagues than De Bruyne (15), highlighting how important he has been for City this season.

Forward – JOSHUA KING

The 25-year-old has really flourished for Bournemouth in 2017 and he will be keen to finish the season strongly. The Cherries return to home soil where 28 of their 42 points have been won to face a Burnley side that have only picked up seven points on the road all season. Without at least one of their regular centre-backs, King should be looking to add to his 15 league goals this term, of which 12 have come in this calendar year.

Forward – HARRY KANE

Tottenham may have fallen short in their chase for the Premier League title for the second season in a row but Mauricio Pochettino’s side will want to end their time at White Hart Lane with a bang against Manchester United on Sunday. There is no question that Spurs will be up for this match and they should be supremely confident of putting a much-changed United side to the sword. Jose Mourinho’s side have shown no appetite to win away to their top six rivals and that should help Harry Kane’s pursuit of Romelu Lukaku in the race to finish as the top goalscorer in the Premier League this season.
