Sevilla 3-2 Inter Player Ratings: An unlikely hero while Banega and Navas shine

Six Europa League finals. Six Europa League triumphs. It was the same old story from tournament specialists Sevilla, who came from behind for the second game running to earn the victory over pre-match favourites Inter.

We run through the player ratings from a memorable finale in Cologne.

SEVILLA - 6.79

Yassine Bono - 6.18: A far less eventful night for the keeper, despite conceding twice, but produced one key save with the score at 2-2 to deny Romelu Lukaku.

Jesus Navas - 7.09: Assured at both ends, defending his box well and delivering dangerous crosses all game, worthy of lifting the trophy for his hometown club.

Diego Carlos - 6.50: A rollercoaster of emotions for the erratic defender, who conceded yet another penalty inside the opening quarter of an hour and was perhaps fortunate not to be sent off, before a decisive bicycle in the opposite box saw Lukaku convert into his own net.

Jules Kounde - 7.24: Another composed display from the youngster, whilst dominating Lautaro Martinez in the air and completing a late clearance off the line.

Sergio Reguilon - 6.92: Relatively quiet going forwards but instead did his bit defensively, producing three tackles and two interceptions, whilst creating chances.

Fernando - 6.48: A typical performance from the Brazilian, who kept the ball well, completing 90 per cent of his passes, and broke up play with two tackles.

Joan Jordan - 6.27: A relatively anonymous display, keeping possession but committing three fouls without making a single tackle.

Ever Banega - 8.00: Signed off in his final game for the club in strong fashion, creating five chances and registering a fourth assist in the competition. Committed a cynical foul and was booked.

Suso - 6.51: Posed little threat in the final third but kept the ball well, completing 94.4 per cent of his passes and creating one chance.

Lucas Ocampos - 6.94: Worked extremely hard carrying an injury, keen to make a mark with five shots prior to a relatively inevitable substitution. Made the most of a number of challenges but posed a threat.

Luuk de Jong - 8.95: An unlikely match winner, justified Julen Lopetegui's selection with two fine headed goals, scoring twice in a game for the first time with Sevilla.

INTER - 6.33

Samir Handanovic - 5.91: Could do little with any of Sevilla's three goals but was not forced into serious action barring three routine saves.

Diego Godin - 6.77: Not at his best from a defensive standpoint, but did bring Inter back into the game to level the scores at 2-2 with a fine header.

Stefan de Vrij - 6.19: Faced a physical battle up against De Jong and didn't win out, producing just one interception and no tackles.

Alessandro Bastoni - 6.68: Admirable in attempting to play out from the back but wasteful in possession at times. Did win five aerial duels and three tackles but booked in the second half.

Danilo D'Ambrosio - 5.48: Made some good runs into the opposition box in the first half but failed to convert two attempts. Extremely fortunate not to be booked having racked up six fouls before being replaced.

Ashley Young - 6.32: Didn't waste a single pass, completing 22 but in truth had relatively little influence on the game bar a couple of decent crosses in the first half.

Marcelo Brozovic - 6.85: An excellent delivery for Godin's goal but couldn't dictate the play as he would have liked.

Nicolo Barella - 5.97: Far from his best, paying more attention to moaning at the referee than the game from early on. Committed three fouls and was booked

Roberto Gagliardini - 6.43: Relatively quiet night. Wasteful in possession at times but did produce one tackle and interception apiece. Booked before being subbed.

Lautaro Martinez - 6.17: A very subdued display from the youngster, who worked hard but saw very little of the ball. 22 touches in all before being replaced.

Romelu Lukaku - 7.53: An excellent start from the Belgian, winning and converting penalty inside five minutes, but kept relatively quiet thereafter before turning the decisive goal into his own net.

Subs: Victor Moses (6.27), Christian Eriksen (6.12), Alexis Sanchez (6.08), Antonio Candreva (6.04)
